Obituary of Josephine Ena Delamont

Josephine passed away peacefully Saturday November 4th, 2006, at the age of 87 years.

She leaves to mourn 2 sons  Robert (Sandra) of Delta BC, Gerald (Lois) of Cold Lake, Alberta and one daughter Sheila (Bill) of Marysville B.C., six grandchildren  Jennifer (Gary), Jim, Peter (Teresa), Patricia, Cori-Lynn (Jim) and Scott (Sandi), as well as seven great grandchildren Erin & Gregory, Mason & Luke, Quinton, Emma & Kole.

Jo was born on September 1st, 1919 in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. She met the love of her life Walter Delamont there and eventually moved to New Westminster B.C., where they were married on February 1st, 1941. Jo and Walter and their family lived in several different cities across Canada and in England as Walter was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy Band. Jo's passion in her life was her family, as well as her friends with whom she had many laughs with over the years, a million stories to tell for each and every one.

Jo was predeceased by her husband of 52 years A. Walter Delamont, two sisters Amy & Margaret, 2 brothers Joseph & Tom.

A memorial service for Jo will be held on Friday, November 10th, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the McPherson Memorial Chapel, Cranbrook, B.C.

Cremation will precede the service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Jo may do so by sending donations to EKFH Community Care (seniors & childrens programs), 13-24th Ave N, Cranbrook, BC, V1C 3H9.
