Obituary of Helena Boon

Helena passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on October 17, 2006 in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Helena was born July 17, 1925 in Holland, where she married Jacobus Dirk Boon April 9, 1948. In 1954 they immigrated to Canada with four children and lived in the Burnaby and Abbotsford areas. In 1992 they moved to Fort Steele. Helena was passionate about her family and her faith. She enjoyed organ music and the beauty of nature. She loved her view of the Steeples from the patio, with the sunshine on her face and the wind in her hair.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jack and their eight children: Adriana (Dirk), Gina, Andrew (Dawn), Peter (Tina), Jim (Barb), Martin (Bev), Helen and Ken (Arlene). Loving grandmother to Vince, Steve, Chris, Kevin, Ryan, Jason, David, Nathan, Dana, Michael, Nicholas, Lindsay, Stephen, Michelle, Nicole, Kirk and Derrick, and great grandmother to Devon, Jacob, Jaron, Kaiya, Ashton and Isabelle.

Helena was predeceased by her brother Johannes in 2000 and by her twin brother Maarten in September 2006 in Holland

.A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday October 21, 2006 at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 2100 3rd St S, Cranbrook, Reverend Ron Foubister Officiating. Interment to follow at the Fort Steele Cemetery.
