Andrew Stishenko passed away October 9, 2006 in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maggie of Cranbrook, B.C., his son John (Sheila) and by his loving daughters Norma (Ken) Lind of Fruitvale, British Columbia, Diane (Dave) Opper of Cranbrook, British Columbia, and Sharie (Brian) Domke, of Terrace British Columbia, his ten loving grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Andrew will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters: Nicholas Stishenko, North Battleford, SK, Frank (Vera) Stishenko, Kelowna, B.C., Elizabeth Gutenburg, Kelowna, B.C., Helen (Aaron) Samuelson, Creston B.C., Katie (Ed) Wicklund, Creston B.C., Margaret Kennedy, Kamloops, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Alex and Annie Stishenko, by brother Bill Stishenko, by sisters Polly Ripka & Mary Krelow.Andrew was born to Alex and Annie Stishenko September 30, 1927. He was brother to Nicholas. Frank, Elizabeth, Helen, Katie and Margaret. He was raised and educated in Iffley, SK. Andrew was married to his loving wife Maggie (nee Faller) for 55 years. They farmed in Iffley for nine years, moved to Creston, B.C. in 1960 and bought an orchard which they worked at for the better part of thirty two years.
Andrew worked hard at several jobs; farming, shoe repair, taxi service and as a mill worker at Crestbrook in Creston as well as in Cranbrook. Andrew took great pride in his family. He and his wife retired to Cranbrook in 1992.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday October 13, 2006 at McPherson Funeral Chapel, Cranbrook, British Columbia.
