Obituary of Arthur Cyril Taplin

With great sadness the family announces the passing of Arthur Cyril Taplin, age 85, on December 26, 2006 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

Arthur was born in Cranbrook, British Columbia on December 16, 1921 to Bertha and Ora Taplin. He worked as a geologist engineer in the mining industry for many years. He was a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife Edith, son Neil, sister Claire Wilson of Fernie, brother Jack Taplin of Creston as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sons, Dean and Ross.

There will be a Memorial Service held at McPherson's Funeral Chapel, Cranbrook, British Columbia at 10:30 am on Saturday December 30th, 2006, Myra Farquhar officiating. Donations in memory of Arthur may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
