Obituary of Constance Maxine Carston

Connie passed away December 21, 2006 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, Cranbrook, British Columbia at the age of 82.
Connie was born December 6, 1924 in Maine, USA. She worked as a teacher and with the Cranbrook School Band and was principle of Pinewood Elementary School when she retired in 1983. Connie volunteered at The Cellar Thrift Shop and was a founding member of the Cranbrook Red Hat Society. She enjoyed crafts, golfing, curling and fishing. She enjoyed escaping the Cranbrook winters to El Centro, California where she holidayed with many friends and family and there are many fond memories of the cabin on Moyie Lake.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Walt (Cathy), daughter Dianne (Jim) Dentrey, grandchildren Marc Dentrey, Kari (Bradon) Fenske, Jon Joel and Steven Carston and one great grandchild Ryder Fenske. Her sister Marguerite (Alan) Mosher also survives her.
Connie was predeceased by her husband Bill Carston in May 2006, her mother Vera Moan and sister Stella Coburn.
At Connie's request there will be a memorial service at the lake next summer.
