Dear Karen, Christine and Richie,
It is with great sadness and shock that I heard about the passing of "Mr. MacDonald." It has been many, many years since I saw John - and all of you - but I always remembered him as such a kind and gentle soul whom I deeply respected. I remember his love for cats, which he instilled in Richie, and sitting around the kitchen table and listening to his fatherly advice. My parents spoke of how much they enjoyed his company whenever they ran into him and Karen at the Moyie Pub, eating their fish and chips.
You filled his life with wonderful memories so, be proud, and cherish them forever.
I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers as you adjust to this change in your lives.
