I knew Stephen as a kind and very professional teaching colleague, even though we taught in different subject areas. I also remember him as the first person I climbed Mount Fisher with many years ago in the late fall. Our hike included an extra couple of km up the access road since his little car couldn't handle the road once it got very rough. Despite this, and less than ideal conditions (some snow) Stephen persevered and we made it to the top. It was worth being late to a thanksgiving dinner!
I also appreciate Stephens extraordinary contributions to the arts in so many ways.
He was a special person and he will be missed by many..

Amy, Sarah, Family and friends,
As a former colleague of Steven's I will always remember him as a very effective English and Drama teacher who brought out the best in his students. Steven and I exchanged many lesson plans and marked many Provincial exams together.
We were close and loyal friends. I have many fond memories of you Steven.

I remember Stephen as a kind and gentle man . I treasure memories of times I was lucky enough to be in various Centre 64 productions with him. His strong stage presence was a treat to behold. I am so sad that he has died but was relieved to hear that his death was peaceful and pain free.

Our condolences to Amy, Sarah, their families and dear friend Elizabeth.
We were aware of Stephen's involvement in the arts; in particular, theatre at Centre 64, as conversations often came up in the coffee room where late Rosemary and I (Rose) worked.
In earlier years, we met Stephen at races around the community, shared bits of conversation at the Key City Theatre and finally in summer 1987 Stephen and Fred took their final courses for their Masters Degree at Gonzaga University.
A delightful man. May is soul rest in peace
In Sympathy

Me Waterhouse was one of a handful of exceptional teachers I had at Selkirk - he ignited a love of literature for me because of that class. He left a great legacy in Kimberley- we should all be so lucky.

I remember working with Steve on my line and "singing" for both my part of Will in Oklahoma and Alfi in My fair lady. If I forgot lunch he would supply me with his egg in the hole.
Not only that but both he and Rosemary were great friends of our family. We shared many years of great Christams tree hunts together.
He will be greatly missed.
Please accept the condolences from the entire Zinovich family.

He talked me into participating in the class musical Oliver (something I would normally never do) and it ended up being a huge blast! One of the best moments of my time at Selkirk. Rest in peace, Mr. Waterhouse.
