Obituary of Mary Pagnucco

September 26, 1931 - October 8, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Pagnucco announce her peaceful passing at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook on Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

Mary and her twin sister were born in Hillcrest, Alberta. Mary married Angelo Pagnucco on June 30, 1951 and they moved to Kimberley where they raised their family and lived until her passing.

Mary was an excellent seamstress and quilter she taught many people to sew, quilt and knit through the community college and at her store "Purcell Stitch 'n Knit".

 

Mary was predeceased by her husband Angelo, son Brian, twin sister Marg Bates, brothers Peter and John Fry. Mary is survived by her sons Ken and Dave Pagnucco, daughter Kathie and son-in-law Dale Sanche. Her sister Elizabeth Comfort, two sister-in-laws, several nieces and nephews and her beloved "grand" dogs Sullivan and Bruno.

 

A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at 1:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley on Saturday, October 12, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Mary can be made to: The Terry Fox Foundation, 2669 - Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C., V3C 3G7.
