Dear Uncle Bud,
I'll miss you but I treasure many happy moments with you, like riding in the back of your convertible around Cranbrook when I was 10, seeing your powder blue Volkswagen bug come round the corner and all the kids yelling, "here comes good old Uncle Bud!"
Hearing you read Green Eggs and Ham to me and my sisters, that stunt bike ride at the pond and your ruined ankle...ouch, you big kid!
I remember a Christmas party in Cranbrook with music and laughter.
I remember visiting you in Coquitlam, another Christmas with our kids, always happy times.
I remember a wine festival in Nanaimo when the two of us stayed up till sunrise, and the whopper hangover.
I remember you at our family reunion, smiling and joking, your usual cheerful self.
I'll miss you. Thanks for being a wonderful part of my life.
