The loving family of Samuele Buonerba announces his peaceful passing on May 1, 2019.
Sam is predeceased by his loving Wife Maria in 2011, his Father Luigi in 1933, his Mother Lousia in 1975 and an infant Brother in 1924.
Sam immigrated to Canada in 1951 and his family followed in 1956 from Forino Italy. Sam worked for C.P Rail starting in 1951 until his retirement in 1988. Sam could always be found in his beautiful vegetable garden watering and nurturing, or spending countless hours outside in his yard. Sam's pride and joy was his family and grandchildren/great grandchildren if you wanted to see his face light with joy, it would be when they were with him spending quality time.
Sam enjoyed and looked forward to the C.P Rail luncheons, and the weekly senior's hall lawn bowling, he was also a member of the Senior Citizens Association of B.C where he will be remembered for his warm humor and kindness.
Samuele is survived by his Daughters Rosa (Tom), Mary (Brian)
Grandchildren Tavis (Natalie) , Kylie (Mike), Amanda (Mike) Sam (Robyn) and his Great Grandchildren Aubre, Tegan, Isabella, Brielle, Cora, Gail, Jameson And Grayson. Numerous Nieces and Nephews, Brother In-law Frank and
Sister in-law Geraldine.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday May 9th, 2019 at 7:00 pm at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cranbrook and a funeral mass on Friday May 10th at 1:00 PM. Same location. Samuele will be interred in the Mausoleum in Westlawn Cemetery to follow.
