I have many fond memories of Jim. He was always so helpful and knowledgable with any of my subdivision queries when I was a notary. When I first became a notary, he gave me an antique notary seal which I used until my retirement. I still have it! I'm so sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed. Judy Holmes

Jim was a powerful influence in my life. He was the first BC land surveyor I met when I arrived in Cranbrook and we quickly became good friends. He recognized the difficulties of being separated from family and friends and he and Lisa welcomed me with open arms. I cannot count the number of times they welcomed me into their home and graciously shared their home with me. I remember the many times we golfed together. He played golf in the same quiet and consistent way he operated his business. I recall one day when we were working together on a survey project and he was interrupted by a call from Lisa saying that she had just got a "hole in one". He broke out into a big smile. My condolences to Lisa, Jean and other members of his family. I feel so honoured to have known and worked with Jim. RIP my friend
