Roy Dean Bailey Born: October 3, 1952 in Cranbrook Passed Away: February 2, 2019 in Cranbrook at the age of 66 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad. Dad was the 2nd child of Ed and Alma Bailey. He grew up in Cranbrook and graduated from MBSS. While he was working at the Rocky View Ranch he met the one love of his life, Diane Pocha. They married in 1976 and made their home in Cranbrook. Dad got his journeyman's Millwright and Heavy Duty Mechanic tickets while working at Cominco underground. He was very good at working on hydraulics and diagnosing issues. He then worked at Crestbrook Forest Industries as a Millwright and then as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in the Woodlands division and also Elko. Dad and Mom moved to Lacombe, AB where he worked as a heavy duty mechanic for Tri Can Well Services for 9 years. In his younger years Dad tried his hand at saddlebronc riding, but soon thought better of that idea. He team roped in his younger days, hunted throughout his life, his knowledge about firearms through the centuries would fill a library. Dad loved being out in the great outdoors and anything to do with the great outdoors. He enjoyed visiting and laughing with family and friends. Dad was a good listener, good natured and a good story teller. He would face the challenges given him and quietly overcome them. He never gave up and he was loved by all.
