Laurie, Vicki and families. I was so sorry to learn of your loss. It was my privilege to know Betty and Hughie and to consider them friends for over 40 years. We had many good times together. While I was Superintendent of Schools in Kimberley, I enjoyed working with Betty on improving access to schools and educational services for special needs kids. More recently we attended numerous performances of the symphony together. And of course I was honoured to be asked to mc the celebration of life for Hughie. I shall miss them both and wish you comfort in your loss.

Betty has always held a special place in our family and was beloved by my grandparents Frank and Ivy Goldsbury and my mother and aunt who grew up with her. Betty was courageous, funny, and deeply committed to her family, as well as her political and advocacy work. Jill Adamson

Laurie, Vicki and family, I lived next door to your Mom and Dad for 28 years. I always enjoyed my visits with your Mom , sipping tea and talking about all the different kinds of plants she loved. You could not ask for better neighbors, always their to lend a helping hand when needed. Betty would get me to water her plants while they were away and always told me to make sure that I talk to them! She had the greatest love for her family and she will be missed.
