Obituary of Nester Johnson

Nester Johnson 1932 - 2018 It is with very deep sorrow that the family of Nester Johnson announces his passing on Monday, November 19, 2018 in Cranbrook. He was 86. Nester was born on January 27, 1932 in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. He was a logger in the Crowsnest Pass in Alberta and the St. Mary area in Kimberley, BC and a rancher in Edgewater, BC. He married the love of his life Mae and they owned and operated Cranbrook Taxi and a second hand store in Cranbrook. Nester liked to hold garage sales as well as attend garage sales every weekend. Nester is survived by his wife Mae, his son Roger (Jackie) and grandkids Kristal (Chris), Anna and Sara (Mark), great-grandkids Dakota, Desirae, Dawson, Drew and Madison, his sister May and plenty of nieces and nephews. Nester was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Mervin, Wes, Art, Ed, Dewey and Fred, his sisters Pearl, Hazel and Adline and an infant son and daughter. A funeral service for Nester will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
