Another huge loss for our family. I wanted to be just like her: The worldly big sister who I would watch spend hours getting her hair sky high in the 60's. She gave me my first real makeup and used to let me stay over at her place even though there's a 15 year difference between us. She was always so funny, very outgoing and involved person. First with her community and family and then her beloved grandchildren. She'll be missed but remembered with much love and good memories. My heart breaks for Jim, Talia and Trevor, Tom and Kylene. My big sister, in my earliest memories, you had already left home so I didn't know you very well. I remember thinking you were so trendy and sophisticated, a woman of the world! I remember you teaching me to play crib and I thought you were very brave because you rode horses. I remember the boyfriends you brought home and when you brought Jim home. you had such a joyful laugh and a wicked sense of humour! My heart hurts for Jim, Talia and Thomas. Huge hugs to everyone. Oh so very sad that this has happened. We will miss Maureen very much. So many special childhood memories for Casey. As Maureen used to follow her big brother around a lot. It was a favourite laugh between them that they were the same age for 20 days. All the special visits and occasions we shared. All the loud laughter when we were together. Camping, Christmas Parties, New Years, Trips to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle (to watch her beloved Blue Jays) of course. Our heartfelt Condolences to Jim, Talia, Tom and their families. We love you.
