Camping at Whiteswan and the drive into the lake !! Fishing on the lake.... Hunting with her and Terry.... And her just being another mom during our teen years..... Some people are just really special in your life... and Mom Hallmark was one of them... Always made me feel loved.... even when I didn't feel lovable. My condolences to Terry and Loiuse and Syd..... Our deepest sympathy for Norman, Oliver, Terry and their families. Doris had such a zest for life and a good sense of fun that people naturally gravitated to her. She always had a great time no matter where she was or what the occasion. I have many memories of good times at the Hallmark house while growing up in Chapman Camp. The most prominent was when she was teaching mom to drive, when I came out to the car she was wearing a hard hat and was holding a bible on her lap and said "OK Verna I'm all set to go!" There was never a dull moment with Doris. She will me missed by many!

I have so many great memories from growing up across the street from the Hallmarks in Chapman Camp. Mrs. Hallmark was such a fearless character and loved to share her knowledge with anyone who entered her life. My sister Nancy was with me when we received the news of Mrs. Hallmark's passing and were sad to hear of this. We then went on to share some of our memories...so many good ones! I saw Doris 6 years ago at Mrs. Coop's 80th Birthday Party and will hold this memory in my heart as we had such a great chat, catching up on our lives. My thoughts are with her family and send my sincerest condolences. Debbie McArthur, Qualicum Beach.
