Leonard Albert Knudsen Jr.
August 8, 1953 - July 18, 2018
It is with very heavy heart's that we announce the passing of Len Knudsen.
Len was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan and grew up with his four sisters and one brother and his parents Hilda and Leonard Knudsen Sr. Len was a dedicated and proud Federal Public Servant for thirty-two years. He served in various positions over the years and in 1994, he accepted a deployment to Cranbrook with Canada Immigration. Len loved his work and always put his heart and soul into each and every case.
Les is survived by the love of his life Vicki; for the last thirty-seven years they were inseparable. Len would always make sure that the house, the yard, the vehicle and every other chore imaginable was always in order.
Len was a gifted artist in so many mediums, oil painting, wood carving, photography, rock carving, cartooning, carpentry and most importantly, he was a gentleman and a gentle man.
A celebration of Len's life will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Please wear your favourite pair of jeans.
Len and I would like to thank the staff at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook for their care and compassion; Dr. Davis, Dr. Simons and a special thanks to Dr. Lawrence Jewett. Len's friends and neighbours were incredible and without their support and friendship, the transition would have been a lot more difficult. Len went way too fast and way too soon, he will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Len's memory to the East Kootenay Foundation For Health.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
