Jean and Family: Bim was a one of a kind patient. Even though his fight was tough, he proved to be an extremely strong man. I will miss his smiling face at what were becoming our "weekly" visits! Rest in Peace Bim!

The Brehm Family:
I had the utmost respect for Bim as a ballplayer, as a businessman and as a person. Every time I saw him we shared a laugh - never a discouraging word was heard. Cranbrook will be less with Bim gone. My most sincere condolences.

You have always been someone I looked up to Uncle Bim. I admire and respect you as a great man that we were all lucky to have in our lives. All the stories my Dad, Peter, told me about the two of you growing up together. The story about the snake and of course the famous story about the hockey stick to the head. I'll miss you so much, but I find comfort in knowing that my Dad is once again reunited with his brother. I'll see you both again one day down the road. Thanks for raising a wonderful family that is full of love and togetherness.

Thank you for all of your love and support you gave Sarah and I. I always felt so loved and welcomed at your house and loved to spend time with you. I am sad I was only able to spend a little time with you. You are one of the greatest men I have had the privilege of knowing and it is my honor to call you my friend and my family. You were like a grandpa to me and I look forward to seeing you again. I will miss you.

Thank you for always making me feel welcome in your home and part of your family. I will never forget the time when you gave me the Sedin burger newspaper clip, or the time we went to watch the Kootenay Ice play. I have many great memories of you and I will always be grateful for them. Thank you for your warm smile and kind heart. You were like a grandpa to me and I will miss you.

Dear Uncle Bim... how I will miss that smile, that twinkle you ALWAYS had in your eyes, and your BIG heart. You are the Salt of the Earth kind of Man. Always concerned for others... you knew the names and birth dates of ALL the extended family!! The world felt safer just knowing you were only a phone call away. I wasn't ready for you to go yet... having just lost my Dad, I felt like a piece of him always resided in you... now 2 truly GOOD men have left us, and all we can do is wait for the time we will be a whole family again... You taught us what LOVE really is by what you did AND who you are. I know Heavenly Father, my Dad and your parents are happy to see you again... but we will be waiting with anticipation for that reunion with you too. You truly loved UNCONDITIONALLY... and I have always been grateful for the example you have been to my family. Missing you every day... your niece, Barb.
