To all the Matter's family;
Marie and I would like to send you all our deepest sympathy on Jim's passing. I worked for Jim in Moose Jaw from 1988-1990 when he was the 15 Wing Base Warrant Officer. He was more then just a boss, he was a father figure to me and all that knew him. He was one of the fairest men I have ever known. Marie and I became friends with Jim and Lois and attended many functions with them both at the base and in their home. We were lucky enough to get to see Jim when he was in the Cranbrook hospital last year but little did I know that the hug we gave him when we were leaving would be the last. RIP Jim, you were a great man and we will miss you so.

Jim was a great neighbour to have. He was alway more than happy to help out during the construction of our house, and after. Him and lois allow us to dig up some plants and trees to brighten up our new home. Thanks for the trees and memories Jim.
