Dear John,
Sietje and I will be with you to share memories of your father, my uncle, on 9th June.
I cannot help thinking that, if it wasn't for Frans-Anton, not many Reinarz's would live in Canada. With your mum, Cara, he also made it possible, or at least easier, for a number of us to get their feet on the ground after landing in this gorgeous province.
He was, and in my mind remains, a very knowledgeable, well read person who could fascinate everyone with stories of the past. With Frank I knew the stories were likely true, as opposed to his brother Andreas', my father, whose stories we often had to take with a grain of salt, as he'd likely be pulling our leg.
We also admire Rhonda for having spent so much time with him, driving Frank around town and to the most important place in his daily life: the Cranbrook Library.
Lot's more memories to be shared on June 9th.
