Obituary of Marilyn Edith Hunt

1939 - 2012

It is with great sorrow that the family of Marilyn Edith Hunt announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.

Lyn was born on October 6, 1939 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She met Leonard, the love of her life, and they were married on July 19, 1958. Lyn was very active in the community. She volunteered with the Steel Workers Union Ladies and the Kimberley International Old Time Accordion Championships (KIOTAC). She loved caring for her family, bowling, bingo, crib and going to the casino.

Lyn leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Len of 53 years; her three boys Dennis, Terry (Tracey) and Duane; her three grandchildren Brayden, Zakary and Kasey; her twin sister Maribeth Howland as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Bertha and her step-father Henry.

A memorial service for Lyn will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Lyn may do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society,
