Obituary of Christian Faber

Christian Lee Faber 1962 - 2018 Christian Lee Faber was born June 3rd, 1962 in Swift Current Union Hospital. He passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Kelowna General Hospital. Chris lived in Cranbrook, BC since 1976. He is greatly missed by his father, Terrence Sluth Faber, brother, Calvin Todd (Zenaide Manuela) Faber, nephews, Brandon Todd Faber and Calvin Scott Faber and niece Marissa Joan Faber, all of Victoria, BC, friends, John and Kim Burgess, Sherry Spring, Lori McKenzie all of Cranbrook, BC and his many friends from Kootenay Roasting Company, Swing Street, Pages Book Emporium and Safeway, and Doug, George, Fred, and George from his housing society. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Marie Faber (nee Scriver) in 1968. A special mention of Adam and Erna (deceased), Merlin, Marilyn and Peter Koch they took Chris in for a few years after the death of his mother. Chris' greatest love was that of his family, his many trips to Victoria and his European trip in 2009 with his dad, Terry and brother, Cal. Highlights of his trip was becoming Honourary councilman for the day in Cranbrook, England and many visits to some of the greatest museums on earth. He enjoyed military history, spending many hours studying and researching it. Chris did a short stint in the Canadian Forces. There wasn't a day where Chris didn't love to make puns with the friends he would meet on his walks around the community. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 at 11:00 am at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook, BC with Rev. Dr. Yme Woensdregt officiating. Interment at Westlawn Cemetery will follow.
