Obituary of James Patrick Murphy
1980 - 2012
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of James in Malaga, Spain on Monday, May 7th, 2012.
James was born in Kimberley, British Columbia on February 14, 1980. His greatest passion was hockey. He spent one year at Notre Dame, Wilcox, Saskatchewan before playing for the Kimberley Dynamiters and the Fernie Ghostriders. After hockey, his love for travel took him to many countries to work and play where he made many friends and impacted lots of lives. One of his favourite expressions was "Trying my hardest to work as little as possible and enjoy the world", and he did it full out!
James will always be lovingly remembered by his dad and mom John and Dianne Murphy; brother Michael; sister Theresa; nephew Liam; niece Hailey and his grandparents Alan and Betty Zaleschuk. He will also be missed by all of his uncles, aunts and cousins.
Prayers for James will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Kimberley. A funeral service for James will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Kimberley, British Columbia.
