Obituary of Harold Osborne

Osborne, Harold "Mick" 1931 - 2018 Harold "Mick" Osborne passed away peacefully in The Pines Residence in Kimberley, BC on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018. Mick was born in Cranbrook, BC in 1931 to his parents Ozzie and Della. Mick had fond memories of his childhood growing up in Cranbrook with sisters Beatrice and Theresa. It was clear Mick held his family life close to his heart and was so proud and thankful to be raised in such a loving, faith based household. Mick had a full life with many accomplishments. He attended UBC and then pursued a career with Merck Pharmaceuticals where he became the Director of Sales for Western Canada. He married his wife Frances in 1980 and settled in Tsawwassen where they made many friends and became active in the community. During his retirement Mick volunteered more time with his parish participating in many different roles. Along with his friends, Mick took up various initiatives to help better the lives of others. Mick was one of the principle partners that helped to build a Catholic middle school and community hall in Tsawwassen. He also enjoyed working with numerous charitable organizations and honoring our veterans. Mick will be remembered with love and fondness by his family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15th at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Kimberley, BC. Friends are invited to enjoy refreshments in the parish hall following the service. Mick's family would like to thank you all for your prayers, kind words of sympathy and the many stories of how Mick touched our lives. A special thanks to Dr. Buchar and the staff at The Pines for providing exceptional care and compassion for both Mick and his family.
