Annie "Olga" Todosichuk It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olga Todosichuk (nee Yurkiw) of Cranbrook, BC on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 99 years of age. Olga was born in Endeavor, Saskatchewan on April 2, 1918. Olga met Michael Todosichuk in Endeavor and they were married on July 28, 1935 when Olga was 17 years old. They were married for 72 years. Olga moved from Endeavor, Saskatchewan to Flin Flon, Manitoba in 1942 with her husband and daughter, Joyce. From December 1944 to September 1965 her family lived in North Bay, Ontario; Kelowna, BC, where her second daughter Judy was born; Donald, BC; Albert Canyon, BC, Fort Steele, BC and finally settled in Wardner, BC where they remained until they moved to Cranbrook, BC in 2005. Olga enjoyed gardening, bird watching, watching nature shows and playing her accordion. The past few months Olga loved to reminisce about fishing, her life in Endeavor and picking huckleberries. Olga is lovingly remembered by her daughters Joyce (John) Tadey of Cranbrook, BC and Judy (Gene) McLeod of Burlington, Ontario; her five grandchildren, Lori Tadey, Randy (Anna) McLeod, Shelly (Bill) DesChamp, Scott (Ana) McLeod and Todd (Jen) McLeod; seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Olga leaves many friends behind but she dearly missed her special friend, Rossa Caccavo from Joseph Creek when she moved to the FW Green Memorial Home. Nothing would brighten her day more than when Rossa could come for a visit at the Green Home with homemade Italian cookies and friendly hugs. Olga was predeceased by her parents Wasyl and Annie Yurkiw, her husband Michael Todosichuk, her grandson John Michael Tadey, and her eight older siblings. At Olga's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Olga's memory can be made to the David Suzuki Foundation One Nature, for the conservation and protection of the natural environment in Canada or the family asks that you just take the time to enjoy the beauty of nature around you and let your family know that you love them, just like Olga always did. Olga's interment will be in Wardner, BC in the spring 2018. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and care givers at the FW Green Memorial Home, her last residence. The kindness that was shown to her family during the past month has helped to ease her passing and will not be forgotten. As well a special thank you to everyone that took the time to visit Olga, and brighten her day. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service. Condolences for the family can be offered at: www.mcphersonfh.com
