Obituary of Debra Faye Bonner

Please share a memory of Debra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Debra Faye Bonner August 31, 1953 - October 25, 2017 After her incredible battle with Alzheimer's, Debbie Bonner has completed her final journey. On the morning of October 25, 2017 Debra Faye Bonner (nee Tucker) concluded her fight at the age of 64 while a resident of the Columbia House Residential Care facility in Invermere, BC, where she had been lovingly cared for by the incredible care givers, nurses, and doctors. The love and compassion displayed by so many people at Columbia House will never be forgotten by her husband, Bill, her daughter, Erin, her daughter in law, Robyn, and her grandson, Dominik. Debbie was predeceased by her son, Jamie Bonner, and her mom and dad, Eva and Jake Tucker. Debbie's career included time with the Alberta Children's Hospital, Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary, and Mount Royal College. Her primary vocation, by her own choosing, became raising two beautiful children and being the CEO of the Bonner Family. Debbie and Bill spent 23 wonderful years in the Wildwood Community where they made several life-long friends. Summers were spent in the spectacular Columbia Valley near Invermere, a place she and Bill have called home for the last four years. Always smiling, ready to lend a hand, volunteer for your cause, or start the dancing at an Iron Zipper gig, Debbie will be remembered by her many friends and neighbors for her beautiful disposition, happy smile and her warm friendship. She will be missed. There will be a celebration of Debbie's life in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Columbia House Enhancement Society, c/o Box 2966, Invermere, BC, V0A 1K0. Funds will be used to help build the Columbia House Healing Garden and would be welcome to help secure Debbie's legacy for the community she loved. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service. Condolences for the family can be offered at: www.mcphersonfh.com
