Obituary of Orin Hoglund

Orin Hoglund 1959 - 2017 It is with great sadness that the family of Orin Hoglund announce his sudden passing on May 9, 2017 at the age of 58. Orin was born in Kimberley on April 25, 1959. He grew up there and spent much of his youth volunteering with the Kimberley Junior Fish and Game Club. He had a love for the outdoors and could usually be found camping, fishing, hiking or riding his quad. He also loved anything with wheels and if he wasn't working on something he was racing it. He worked many years with Cominco at the Concentrator and eventually the Sullivan Mine and most recently as a heavy duty mechanic at the Canfor Sawmill in Elko. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Faune Hoglund, daughter Shanna (Paul), son Danny (Jenn), grandchildren Shelby and Boden, mother-in-law Opal, brothers Erik (Donna), Albert (Lynne), sister Joan, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Orin is predeceased by his mother Kathleen, his father Frank, his sister Marie, brothers-in-law Dale and Gary, his father-in-law Jim and great niece Hadlie. A celebration of Orin's life will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Centennial Hall. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Canadian Heart and Lung Association.
