Those we lose continue on in our hearts and memories. My condolences to all his family and friends. Mr Haine was a very special man. A man whose greatest pleasure was dedicating his life to his wife and his family. I was truly blessed to have known him.

I remember Mr. Haine, Robert, Bob as a truly giving person. I and my family knew him best as the 'Paint Store Person'. We bought paint for our walls, ceilings and fences and Bob was generous with his time; always making sure we got just what we wanted. I also remember him donating paint to both the Cranbrook Community Theatre and The Kootenay Light Horse Association. Paint from Haines Paint Store brightened both sets and jumps. As the years went by and different paths were taken we lost touch. It was a great gift to reconnect and share some rememberings over these last few weeks. I trust that as you all go forward you will be carried, strengthened, sustained and comforted. With love, Gerri Atchison.

My father was Bob's fathers' half brother and was born on the family farm in Warwickshire England. I only met Bob once but he made a big impression on me and i have enjoyed his newsy Christmas letters. He was kind to my son Simon who stayed with him when he was traveling around Canada. I cherish Bob's memory as a generous warm hearted man and send my condolences to his family knowing how much he will be missed.
