" We are very sorry to hear of Don's passing. I worked with Don at Motorways for many years and always enjoyed his company and sense of humour, he would tease my daughter when she was at the terminal, also once told my wife she would not think the stars at the top of Kootenay Pass were so beautiful in the winter if she had to get soaked to you know what putting on chains. Hi Jerry and family, Jerry as I spotted you in the office today, I had no idea why you were in here. It wasn't until later in the day I grabbed the news paper and saw your Dad's smiling face and then realized what had happened. Seeing him left a lump in my thoat. I talked to him just a couple of weeks ago when I ran in to him on the street while doing the banking. As usual we had a great conversation, and away he went. I met Don in 1987 while waitressing in a truck stop in Greenwood BC. He'd light up the place when he walked in. He'd bark out his food order with a wink and a grin, and talk about his family with pride and discuss the things he loved to do. Of course then it was about retirement and all the plans he had. He will be surely missed, he was a wonderful. Thinking of you and your family at this time. My heart is with you. Deb Schroeter
