Obituary of Florence Anna Pachal

Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Florence Anna Pachal (nee Fellner) 1941 - 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Flo Pachal on Monday, November 21, 2016. Flo was born on November 5, 1941 in Pangman, Saskatchewan. Flo was a beautiful, loving and caring person with a great sense of humour. She was always appreciative of everything that was done for her. She was more concerned for others than she was for herself and loved her family more than anything. Flo will be sadly missed. She was one of a kind. Flo had a great passion for music, animals, gardening and teaching. She received her teaching certification from Regina College and went on to complete her Bachelors at Notre Dame in Nelson, and then her Master's in Education at Gonzaga University in Spokane. Flo started her teaching career in Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan before continuing on to work in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Lower Mainland of BC, Castlegar and then eventually settled in Cranbrook in 1970. She worked for School District #5 (Southeast Kootenay) from 1970 until she retired in 1999. In retirement she returned to work as an Educational Assistant for a number of years - as she loved being in the classroom! Flo was instrumental in sharing her love for music to seniors, children, and the community at large. She loved teaching music to students, producing operettas, and encouraging the love of music within her family at home. Flo and her family enjoyed having many animals on their hobby farm, including horses, cattle, dogs, cats and birds. She was very involved with 4-H and Kindergarten Farm Days within the school district. Flo instilled in her family and students a deep love and caring for pets and animals in general. Flo was predeceased by her parents Max and Margaret Fellner and her sister Dorothy Voigt. She is survived by her loving sons Lawrence and Greg (Sharon), her granddaughters Alexandra and Lauren, her brother Lawrence (Heather) Fellner and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to a charity of your choice. Prayers for Flo will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A funeral mass for Flo will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Christ The Servant Catholic Church in Cranbrook at 11:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
