Dear Gerald, Petula, Julie, Jude, and Family, Heaven certainly gained a treasure in your beloved Joan, and with you I share in the sadness of her passing from this vale of tears. But I also share your joy knowing she is safe and secure with the Lord Jesus who will dry all of her tears in open eyes that gaze full into His beauty. And as you each reflect on such a marvellous life as hers and how she touched you all, and will continue to touch you each one in the memory of your hearts, be thankful for the gift that she was, and is, and yet shall be to each and every one of you. It is a privilege to get to know Joan and I so admired her positive outlook. I especially loved seeing her light up when several players of the Kootenay ICE made a special visit to come and see her in the dialysis unit. My heart is heavy for Gerald and his family. Donna Grainger
