Marie Jacqueline McNabb 1928 - 2016 Marie Jacqueline McNabb was passed over to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loving husband, Norman on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and unconditional love at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook, BC. Jackie was born December 9, 1928 in Premier Mine, BC. She fell in love with Norman Archibald McNabb and spent 66 wonderful years married to her best friend. Jackie and Norm had 6 children, Doug, Gaye, Duncan, John, Robyn and Joy and raised them in Golden and Castlegar, BC. Jackie, a loving mother, exceptional grandmother, great grandmother and friend will be truly missed by all whom loved her and those that grew to love her over her final years. It was easy for her to make friends and help those in need even in her last week of life on earth. The love for her family was intense and unwavering. She enjoyed painting, knitting and traveling and summers at Christina Lake. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Joseph Creek Care Village (Fisher and Jim Smith neighborhoods) for the care and dedication to mom's wellbeing. Thanks to Dr. Kevin McIver for your compassion to mom and the family during her final days. Jackie is survived by her sister Marilyn Clark; 2 brothers Thomas deKergommeaux and Dennis deKergommeaux; 6 children and their spouses Doug and Mary-Kaye McNabb of Trochu, AB, Gaye and Craig Coleman of Castlegar, BC, Duncan and Cindy McNabb of Cranbrook, BC, John and Judy McNabb of Langley, BC, Robyn and Stu Austin of Canmore, AB and Joy and Jim Bermel of Cranbrook, BC as well as 14 beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special family memorial will be held at a later date. Her wish was to be laid to rest alongside her husband and joyous memories at Christina Lake, BC.
