Obituary of Tara Martindale

 

It is with great sadness we announce that Tara passed away on May 1^st 2023 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital surrounded by loving family. Tara fought a courageous battle against lung cancer with her sons and family by her side. She is now with her Father (Dave Mader), Sister (Brenda Reeve), and husband of 26 years (Peter Martindale).

 

Tara was born in New Westminster B.C. on February 5^th 1965 and came to be adopted by her loving parents, Dave and Karen Mader. Tara’s passions in life were animals, photography, geology, and her garden. She also loved cooking, nature, and fishing. Tara loved her dachshund Charlie and her cat Gus, who both stuck close to her side during her short illness. Tara had a great sense of humor and was loved by many people she touched during her life. Tara always said her biggest accomplishment in life were her two sons, Christopher and Zander.

 

Tara leaves behind Mother Karen, Brothers Patrick, Kevin, Sister Cheryl, Sons Christopher (Ashley), Zander, Niece Tara, Cousin Clint, In-Laws Ella, Linda (Kevin), Esther (Al), Steven (Sherry), David (Brenda), (Jackie), best friends Randy Newman (Cathy), Adele Oak, Ron Closs, Cheryl Hughes, and many more family, friends, and people who’s lives she touched.

 

She was an amazing woman and mother who went far too soon. We love you and miss you everyday.

 

Special thanks to her son Zander Martindale who went above and beyond to assist and care for his mother during her illness.
