Muriel Frances Kelly (nee Auguson) was born on December 9, 1923, in Fernie, British Columbia. She peacefully passed away on May 22, 2023, in Cranbrook, British Columbia, at the age of 99.
Fran, lovingly referred to as Nana, enjoyed various activities that brought her joy. She had a fondness for camping, where she relished the warmth of campfires and the simple pleasure of roasting hotdogs. Traveling was another passion of hers, and she embarked on memorable journeys alongside her husband, Edward Kelly, exploring destinations such as Alaska, different parts of the USA, and eastern Canada. Fran also found fulfillment in creative endeavors such as knitting, crocheting, and baking.
Known for her hospitality, Fran always opened her home to visitors, offering them the comfort of good company, a warm cup of coffee, and a welcoming table filled with delicious food. She also had a soft spot for animals, including her cherished pets, Zoey and Mittens, her cat that just dropped by with her kittens and Nana took them in.
Fran was predeceased by her husband Edward Kelly (2015), 1 granddaughter, 1 great-granddaughter, 2 sisters, and her parents Oscar & Lillian Auguson.
Fran is survived and remembered by Eldeen (Allan), Barb (Dave), Ray (Shelly), Grandchildren Tom, Robbie (Barb), Amanda, Michelle (Aumid), Sheldon (Julie) Cody (Kelly), Tyler (Jena), Dusty (Taryn) and 10 great-grandchildren.
