Obituary of Charlotte Violet Gustafson
Please share a memory of Charlotte to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
1930 - 2010
Charlotte was born in Bengough, Saskatchewan, May 30, 1930 and passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook on Saturday, August 14, 2010.
Char moved to British Columbia as a young child, residing first in Canal Flats and later moving to Marysville where she lived until her passing.
Char was a kind, wonderful lady who always thought of others and was devoted to her family. She was an active member of the Kimberley Hospital Auxiliary for over 25 years and enjoyed volunteering at the Marysville Thrift Shop for many of those years. Four years ago, she moved to Valley View Lodge in Marysville where she felt very much at home.
With the loss of her husband and two sons, she faced her grief with strength and courage. When her health began to fail a few years ago, she met the many challenges with grace and determination.
Char was predeceased by her husband Rusty (1997); son Larry (2000); son Brian (1992); and brother Don Beddow. She will be missed by her daughter Pat (Wolfgang) Bentlage; son David (Margo) Gustafson; daughter-in-law Jackie Gustafson as well as grandchildren: Dean, Tony (Rene), Chris (Tiffany), Kelsey (Erin), Arlene, Adrian and 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Marysville Community Church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Michael Hayes officiating. Cremation has preceded the service.
